10:00am - 11:30am

Strong and daring, a sword can take your performance to a whole new level.  Devyani’s DeAnna Freeman will begin with existing fast and slow ATS movements and then modify them for sword work.  This 90 minute class is great for those looking for that added challenge!

Skill Level: Students must have a firm grasp of movements / vocabulary and formations in FCBD DVDs 1-4.  Basic moves and combos will not be broken down.

Sword / Workshop info:
  •  A sword is required for this workshop.  Sword must be balanced for dance and preferably not sharp as we will be drilling. You may purchase a sword from: Amazon
  • Cotton fabric or dupatta for a headwrap is required.  If you do not have a headwrap, one will be provided to you.
  • Please bring your zils and kneepads!

Double Fan Veil

From Raqs Sharqi to Tribal, fan veils are the prop for you!  Phoenicia will conduct a 90 minute class on using fan veils to express yourself through dance.  By utilizing these beautiful props in your next performance, you are sure to captivate any audience!  This is an introduction to double fan veils where you will learn to hold, open and close, plus some simple movements!

Skill Level: Must have enough dance experience to have strong arm movements and stamina.  Being able to execute turns is helpful.

Fan Veil / Workshop info:
